If you are looking for compliant, DBS Chefs to work in your school kitchen, then you have come to the right place. Here at The Chef Tree, we pride ourselves in performing a high number of important checks before sending our Chefs out to schools.
We found that different schools that we supply DBS Chefs to were asking specific questions quite similar to each other. As a result, we decided to put all the questions together and put them onto 1 form.
Child Barred Enhanced DBS –
The first thing we make sure our Chefs have got is a Child Barred Enhanced DBS. This means that they are allowed to work around children and they have been checked by the police in the UK for any previous convictions.
Overseas Check –
The second thing off the back of that is overseas checks. Needed if our Chefs have been outside of the UK for more than 3 months in the last 5 years. That’s something else we perform to make sure the Chefs are eligible to work in an environment with vulnerable children.
Medical Declaration –
Chefs also need to have a medical declaration that we have included on the form as well. The useful thing is that you will receive our school form before any Chef steps foot in your school. That gives you enough time to check the form to make sure that they are compliant for what you need. The feedback that we have received from schools that we supply has been very positive.
